Work continues on the Summerland Rockslide Project in the southern Okanagan on Highway 97!
Elevation Technical Services is providing Ministry Project Supervision services and working alongside the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and their contractors on this project.
Contractor/construction crews are performing periodic blasting and continually testing and assessing ground conditions on site.
We are pleased to work with MoTI and be a part of this major rehabilitation project after approximately 3,000 cubic metres of material came down during the slide last August. It's great to be working collaboratively with AIM Roads, Chute Creek Contracting, Dynamite Construction, Valley Environmental, BCW Traffic Management, Foundex Explorations Ltd., Stantec, Tetra Tech, Thurber, and MoTI.
Highway 97 travellers can check DriveBC.ca for updates on scheduled closures. Remember to obey the signage and traffic control personnel when travelling through the site. Stay aware of crews and equipment on or near the highway. Safety is everyone’s top priority!
