We are pleased to announce a milestone moment for Elevation! We have added Senior Bridge Engineering Consulting Services to our offerings! With the addition of Laurie Christiansen, P.Eng. we are excited to expand this area of service for our valued clients.

Laurie is a seasoned professional with over forty years of experience in structural engineering design and construction, specializing in bridges and other transportation structures. He's contributed to the successful delivery of hundreds of projects throughout B.C. 

Laurie’s passion for bridge and structural engineering began in the construction industry, where he filled a variety of roles in the delivery of heavy construction projects, including bridges, elevated transit guideways, tunnels, and marine structures.

After obtaining his engineering degree later in life, Laurie joined the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure as a Bridge Construction Supervisor. Throughout his 25-year career at MoTI, Laurie held various engineering roles, including Structural Design Engineer, Consultant Design Manager, and ultimately Regional Manager - Bridge and Structural Engineering. Most recently, as a Structural Engineering Consultant, Laurie has managed the delivery of many bridge and structural projects for various clients and assisted in building and mentoring consultant structural teams.

Upon starting with Elevation, Laurie shared, “I feel fortunate that I have been able to focus much of my career on the things that I enjoy doing most, and I am excited to reconnect with several of my former colleagues at Elevation, to continue this work and to share my experience with the new young talent within the company.” 

We are excited to work with Laurie and benefit from his depth of experience as we further expand Elevation’s bridge engineering capabilities.
