The Aurum Road Washout Recovery project aimed to address the washout damages by implementing various structural and drainage solutions along the affected route. The project began with removing and re-installing four damaged culverts, the largest being 2200mm. Following that, ditching, geomembrane liner, and full depth gravel road reconstruction and realignment was completed. Finally, new concrete barriers and installation of erosion control measures such as hydroseeding was completed. Work on the site was challenging due to the narrow forest road and the fast-approaching winter.
